INTRODUCTION

Moulay Bouzerktoun, situated approximately 30 kilometers north of Essaouira, is a world-class windsurfing and kitesurfing destination. This spot is famous for its powerful winds, which can reach speeds of 25 to 35 knots, particularly strong from March to November. The area features a rocky coastline with a sandy beach, offering impressive waves further out, making it suitable for various skill levels and styles. Moulay Bouzerktoun is especially popular among wave riders due to its consistent swells. The spot has gained international recognition, hosting professional windsurfing competitions. While the village itself is small, it has developed to cater to water sports enthusiasts, with basic accommodations, equipment rental shops, and a few cafes available. The best time to visit is during the summer months when wind conditions are most reliable. Water temperatures range from 18°C to 22°C (64°F to 72°F) throughout the year.
